Terrible Dining Experience in Matthews, NC


My wife and I visited this Longhorn Steakhouse for the second time. The first also not being so enjoying, but we contributed that to the young girl that was bartending, Jasmin B.

Well, upon our entrance it was Jasmin once again. What we experienced this visit was one that will keep us far away for LONGtime.

1. We were asked if we would like to start out with a drink. Jasmin brought me a beer directly and then proceeded to leave the bar area and work the dining area, without bringing my wife her drink. Until she walked past us working the dining area, I believe she remembered and made a quick statement while still moving. %u201CI will get your drink now%u201D

2. Following Jasmine%u2019s recommendation my wife decided to try the New BLT with crispy bacon. Upon the delivery of the food it was quickly noticed that the BLT had a single slice of green tomato, soggy bacon and smashed bread. My wife decided to let Jasmine know and was offered another meal, it%u2019s no problem. For the record: Jasmin came back to us and informed us that the cook said the Bacon is not supposed to be crispy. I would say the cook needs to read the menu.

3. My wife decided to order the same Rocky Top Chicken Sandwich as I was eating at this time. It had very good crispy bacon inside. My wife asked if she could have it without the bun and Jasmin said no problem. Jasmin then asked what side my wife would want. My wife said I don%u2019t need any side as I will pick on the fries that came with the BLT. Jasmin took the BLT away and left my wife with the fries.

4. The Rocky Top Chicken Sandwich was delivered on the BUN, with a huge plate of fries. No comment from Jasmin after she witnessed my wife removing the bread from the sandwich.

5. When we received the bill, I noticed that my wife%u2019s meal was $ 11.99 & mine was $10.79. After questioning this Jasmin made the statement and said my wifes meal actually came with two sides because she ordered it without the bun. I had to remind her that it came with the bun and a large plate of fries which she did not ask for. Jasmin gave me a $ 1.50 cash for the difference as she already had charged my credit card.

6. The worst part of this entire experience was that we were never approached by a restaurant manager. This is the worst restaurant experience ever, it%u2019s almost like this specific store missed out on training for more than one employee.
